Oh fuck, oh fuck, holy shit. I am pissing myself with excitement, I just finished this and am still in KEYSMASH EVERYTHING mode, where do I begin? Characterization, daaaayyyymn, girl, Jim is so creepy and sly and CHRIST, he almost fooled ME and I'm a factual human being with what I hope is a rational thought process. Seriously, though, his nature narrated through Molly's point of view was brilliant, in that creeping dark way that captured her naivety and innocence and youth excellently ( ... )

I'm so pleased to hear that you found Jim's characterization convincing, and also that you were tempted to believe him---that's really what I was going for. It's so easy in hindsight to think we wouldn't be fooled by something like this, or even to think that we couldn't be taken in by someone so monstrous once we're no longer children, but I was hoping to show that even if you aren't a lonely, attention-starved twelve y.o. a bit of charm in the right place at the right time can pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

SWEATY AND GROSS IS FANTASTIC, ALSO. I WILL TAKE THAT AS A COMPLIMENT! Thank you. :D
