I just got back from watching The Constant Gardener. If you haven't yet seen it, by all means, do. It was excellent, kept wonderful pace, and was tragic much on the scale of Hotel Rwanda. Most of you would really enjoy it. So I won't say more than that you should see it.

And if that's not enough, Ralph Fiennes. Mmm.

Just saw on IMDB that Atom Egoyan's new movie was given an NC17 for a very explict 3-way between Colin, Kevin Bacon, and Rachel Blanchard. It's premiering at Toronto next week, but I've already added Where the Truth Lies to my Netflix queue!

Caught some more of the hurricane news, watched some of the FEMA/Nat Guard/Homeland Security briefing on CSPAN before heading out for the day. Really, all of it, the looting, the lack of rescuing, the total anarchy, the dead bodies, just makes you realize that deep down, people really are as terrible as you'd like to believe some days. Went up to Columbia Mall early to shop a bit before meeting dunnagain, since there are a lot of nice stores up there. Wandered through Nordstrom's, Gap, Banana Republic, bebe, JCrew, Cache, Abercrombie and a few others and found nothing I could wear to work. Settled in for another evening of Netflix, to watch Annie Hall. I'd seen a few of Woody Allen's more recent films, and hadn't really "gotten" him, and thought them mediocre at best.
