Diagnostic reports are clean, sir! Engineering is reporting only small malfunctions and Mr. Scott is dealing with them angrily like always. All stations are prepped, manned, and ready for operation!

Excellent! Not that I think most of the crew is actually paying attention for the most part, considering what I'm seeing reading.

Are any of these minor malfunctions in Engineering anything that will delay our leaving?

From the list of innoperable programs Mr. Scott has sent me, no, Captain. Warp drive is fully operatiwe and sublight engines checked, rechecked, and ready to use!

Ah, also, sorry sir, I cannot be on the bridge. I am working from a control console on Deck Nine, Guest Quarters. You can blame Doctor McCoy and Lieutenant Uhura for this.

I heard a little bit about this, it seems that despite being captain I'm still out of the loop on exactly how this came to be. I should still, by all means, be able to over ride anything they do... do you need me to come to your rescue?
