This is not a review as much as a bulletpoints of observations. It's ULTRAspoilery, no stones unturned, so only read it AFTER you see it, ok

There was an obscure reference about Tony retiring from being Iron Man in the conversation between Tony and Steve at the party, I thought. It wasn't obvious, but you could take it as them talking about Tony wanting to call it a day, but yeah, it was pretty vague

You know, I watched it three times and I missed that line. Vague indeed.
I was putting Cap and Tony's assholishness on Wanda. If in doubt, blame the witch.
Thor was literally the least useful member, but like I said, he had two films and a personal connection to The Avengers' villain, so I was ok with him having nothing to do. I know for a fact that they cut some of his scenes, especially the pool vision. There are rumours about there being an extended cut of AoU, and as long as this doesn't mean "more smashing" I'd love to see it.
I had minimal exposure to the comic book Vision so I have no idea how close to the original he was.
Part 2 of 2 (please let it only be two parts)mesmorizeeApril 28 2015, 20:55:02 UTC
Cap and Thor are so wasted in this movie it's quite sad. Their solo movies are my favorites and I like them and want more of them. They have a norse god on their team and he doesn't really get to do anything. How does that make sense?

I know, right?! I only came back to LJ because I need to keep track on the Dragon Age kink meme but then I realised - ok, I'm paying for a service, why not use it?! LJ is better than Tumblr when it comes to actual intention with people and lets you have thoughts that have more than 140 signs

I mostly came back because of two reasons one because no one on my friendslist would mind /or even still be around) that I was suddenly only talking about comic books, and two (the main reason) because I could actually write really long posts that weren't limited to 140 characters

Oh, I agree with most of this. I am completely lost on all the plots in the MCU, especially anything regarding the infinity stones ... I mean after watching Guardians my friend had to explain it to me and then I forgot it. Definitely time to rewatch it again. Anyway, since Thor sees four stones in his vision and where they came from and then says there's six in total, I'm totally buying that he saw it all in his dream and that's why he knows there's four of them. I don't think he needed to see exactly what happened there, just enough to know what's going on. I'm having an easier time buying that than him randomly making the crypt-thingy work by smashing his hammer into it. That kinda comes out of nowhere
