Thank you. A last second stroke of inspiration I must say. It occurred to me that Steve had jumped from a frying pan straight into a fire, though he has yet no idea how hot the fire really is.

I think somewhere around first mission I can see him hitting Midnighter with a shield, shouting "You do NOT kill people!"

Well, they do set up a lot of the Authority's villians to be Baron Blood-ish: people you kill because there's no safe way to leave them alive. And Steve does kill when he has to. But never... *gleefully*, and I think he'd be pretty disgusted by the attitude of some of the Authority.

I'm pretty sure Steve would manage to find a common ground with everyone except for Midnighter. I love the dude to bits and bloody pieces but he's capable of killing a defenseless man begging for his life.

Every fic I write has a set up, so I can tell you that one of the reasons The Carrier brought Steve to them, is that he knows that there are things that should be done subtly and that there are times that though TA would win, they would fail.

Oh wow. Thank you *blushes* That's an awesome compliment. However, I think you are wrong. My CAA would be composed of 7 issues of Midnighter and Apollo sexing each other up and taking short brakes to kick asses (and heads off) :P

Hm, that reminds me - need Authority icon.
