Yeah. Unfortunately these are within a couple feet of the house, so that probably wouldn't work out so well.

It's warm enough there to dig out stumps? Damn you.

In December i had to remove a stump to make room for a pet burial. That was some hard work. I needed a steady supply of hot water.

It was almost 60 degrees yesterday. I was glad it wasn't any *warmer*.

But the ground itself hasn't frozen much at all this winter... we got a little snow a week or two ago but it only stuck on plants rather than bare dirt or roads.

It's rarely cold enough here for the ground to freeze solid, and this winter has been milder than most.

On the other hand, we're about a foot low on rain since 1/06, and the entire state is in severe or worse drought.
