Electricity costs whatever it costs, but they claim as little as 2¢/mile, so it must not draw all that much juice while charging. They also suggest it's great if you can get peak/off-peak rates on your electricity (some power companies offer it), since you can just charge it at night when it's cheaper.

(a) It is in the end an impractical (awesome) sports car with room for no more than 2 people and a bag of golf clubs,
(b) It looks like for now they're really only set up for sales and service in CA, NYC, and Miami (you pay plenty extra for delivery and service anywhere else), and of course
(c) It costs a bloody arm and leg. Though, really, a gas-guzzling sleek sports car of similar design could cost nearly as much depending on the model.

Wow, that's fantastic. That's almost exactly how I felt during the movie! :) (I think I can see the sort of dramatic arc that Peter Jackson was aiming for, but I'm not convinced that it worked at all well.) Thanks for reminding me to take a look at that site again; it had been a while.
