Great Ape?

I've been pondering catching King Kong on the big screen, which I missed when it first came out since I was traveling a lot. Anyone who's seen it want to offer an opinion of its entertainment value? Anyone who has or hasn't seen it want to catch it with me some time this weekend?

I haven't seen it, but Ben says the special effects make it worth seeing on the big screen. Before that, I'd only read an analysis of "King Kong" as some kinda racist anti-feminist whatzit. It seems, at the end of the day, it's best to not look too deeply into the Kong metaphors. Enjoy...
