So it's come to my attention that I haven't posted anything here in over a month. Things have probably happened since then! So I guess I'll write them down. This will probably get long. I realize I'd probably get more comments from separate posts, but too late now. I'll at least divide into sections so you can skim ( the longness... )

I... could have. I figure people who are interested in *any* of what I've been up to can click the one cut and skim the bolded section headers easily enough. :P

What are underappreciated games in this Gamespite thing?

So GameSpite has fallen into a sort of pattern for the quarterlies: first a system retrospective issue (year one was GameBoy, year two is NES), then a "user voting issue", then an encyclopedia-ish thing, then a free for all. Four issues ago was a "best game ever" vote, this under-appreciated games one is another. Though in addition to covering the top 30 or 40 suggested by forum votes, we're also doing an "author's choice" section to pick up some others we thought should make it in. Anyway, I guess this is a sufficiently obscure venue that I can say I picked up Okami and EVO, and added Valkyria Chronicles for my extra pick. Right now the NES issue is just finishing layout, though, so it'll be a few months before this one's done.
