So funny you should post this. I was just thinking about ships and Korra (not shipping Korra, just...ships. And Korra.), and it occurred to me this morning why I am having SUCH a hard time getting excited about this new development.
The damn Avatar fandom has completely MURDERED my love for this series :C.
It made me so sad when I realized, but yeah. The ship wars, the flame wars, the backstabbing, the "LOL you guys are disfunctional" SDCC fail..I know you get iwank in any fandom, but man. It's like you just can't escape it in Avatar. Even the CREATORS get in on it.
Anyway. Not to say I'm giving up on the EM or our K/Z angst. I like to think we're slightly insulated from the outside world, and it's fun to just sort of let them have at it and see what happens. :3
Hee. I thought about mentioning Korra and such on the board, but hadn't gotten around to it and satisfied myself with a journal entry.
I keep telling myself that I want to find an epic Zutara story to curl up with for a while to get myself back into fandom, but then I just sigh and go read more Merlin fics.

I'm getting pretty excited about the new series, I think. Only time will tell, but it looks promising!

I'm going to hold off seriously judging the new series until it comes out and I watch it. But I am definitely hopeful!
