Just some thoughts on shipping...
IDK, I feel like rambling again. That's what this thing is here for, right?
After discovering the revival of a little war that's been going on in the A:tLA fandom for, I don't know, EVER, it occurred to me that I'm kind of better off just slashing everything. With my slash ships, I know it's not going to happen on screen. I can wish that it would (because really, shouldn't we be that advanced as a society by now?), but I know it won't and I can deal with that, because I have fanfiction. With certain het ships, it could have probably been done on screen. The creators chose to go in a different direction, and I would even be okay with that if they didn't react to mention of my ship with "LOL NO." (It's not surprising when they do that with slash ships. It's just mean when they do that to canonically plausible het ships.)
That said, I'm looking forward to this new thing. I like steampunk, it's an action series with a girl as the lead character, and Tenzin is probably way older than Korra. And I don't even care; I might just ship it anyway.
