Hmm, how to explain the key signature and how this fails at it in a concise, easy-to-understand manner...? Well, let's start with basics: do you know what a key signature is/what it looks like, or should I start there?

Right, key signatures: The key signature is the collection of sharps (#) or flats (b) found at the beginning of every line that tells you what key the piece is in. The sharps or flats follow a certain pattern, and each key signature has a different number of sharps or flats (note: a key signature will never contain both sharps and flats). The key signature for Db (the stated key for this Prelude), consists of Bb-Eb-Ab-Db-Gb. The key signature given is a lone, lonely Db. Therefore: FAIL! XD
