Thank God That's Over

If I had a game show, that's what it would be called: "Thank God That's Over". My one and only exam is now over, and two of my essays have been handed in, so there's just one to go.

I think I've already told you or maybe it was Em how I think it's one of the best performances I've seen, you know how picky I am. Sure I'll think someone was good but only occasionally do I sit up and take note which he did in only a few short scenes, anyway after thinking about it I mentally listed all the performances I think are really good and I was really disappointed that I couldn't think of any actresses, how sad! But then I saw in my head Frances McDormand trudging through the snow in Fargo, I don't know if you have seen it or not, I liked it not great alright but she is fantastic. Then Em helped me think of some others so yay, but the list is still pretty small.

Every quasi-intellectual person I knew said the book was crap, but the movie would be better, so I didn't bother reading it. The movie, I thought, was pretty good, although there were some obvious errors, and a series of semi-plausable truths, it didn't quite sell me. And I tend to be a cynical person, yet I love finding patterns in things ( ... )
