I can't really judge, since I'm not quite through with the dwarves yet, but I have to agree. I'd probably rank the mages a step up from the ashes, and the elves a step up from that -- all the vagueness and withholding information and "lol you don't know the REAL truth about Tuvok Zathrian" made it more interesting.

Though still, for all of those the choices were pretty "well duh" if you're playing good (save the ashes, save the tower, save both the elves and the werewolves), and for the dwarves I feel like I'm still waiting for it. Does it really make that much of a difference whether you choose Bhelen or Harrowmont for king? When it got to the point where you couldn't advance without picking one I was very "ARGH NEEDS MOAR INFORMATION" about the whole thing, and though I went with Harrowmont it's STILL bothering me.

It'll change your ending by choosing either Harrowmont or Bhelen, but it's not so much the ACTIVE choice of the Dwarf quest. It's more of a passive choice, where you'll KNOW when you get to the active choice there that will affect gameplay.
