I wish I had friends to introduce Tutu to, the only anime fans I know IRL are all BL/yaoi fangirls and would rather quit anime than watch Tutu :( It was hard for me to watch it at first but by the end I couldn't have been more thankful that I did.
And I wish Dennou Coil was subbed more quickly too! I really would have helped translate it if it wasn't this year but next year or last year... A lot of people who watch this watch it subbed, so there's very few people to get excited about it with...
Well I wouldn't call her an anime fan per say. She has only watched a couple Ghibli films before this. I specifically chose Princess Tutu because the plotline is something I thought she would enjoy since she likes real fairytales and hates how Disney always changes them. So I thought it was an excellent one to show her. Mushishi might be next.
Unlike her most of my other friends are very close minded and won't even give any anime a chance. They think it is all Pokemon/DBZ or violent/porno. I did have one other good friend who was into it but she's lost interest.
Denno Coil is now 3 episodes behind it is very frustrating. It unfortunately is not a title that attracts a huge fanbase so there really are no speed subbers. :(
