Escape to Tampico really was a great episode. I remember the twist ending, but I'll have to watch it again to see if I think it made sense or not. But I will say that I can definitely sympathize with frustration over episodes where the ending just doesn't seem to make sense with the characters. In addition to that happening in the Lauren Bacall episodes of Rockford, it happened in The Hawaiian Headache episode. I still refuse to believe that the person eventually arrested for murder was guilty. I'm writing a sequel to that episode where Jim gets recruited to figure out who framed the poor guy

For me the ending of Escape to Tampico was worse than the Lauren Bacall ep bc with the Bacall ep I just felt it was dumb but I didn't care about the princess. I really liked Mohr's character here and his relationship with Garner's Maverick. So the ending hurt a bit, but the rest of the episode is top notch writing for sure.

My favorite scene in Gun Shy is when the deputy tells Maverick that the Sheriff will shoot him and Bret is like no he said only if he sees me and then the deputy agrees and gets all chummy with him lol.

And yeah Rivals was very cute with a great script.

I had literally just watched Rope of Cards so it was fresh in my mind. I liked the whole Maverick Solitaire scene but it's true the rest of the ep is nothing special.

I also just watched Joe November which is another Bret ep I really enjoyed.

Oh yeah, it's definitely worse when you become invested in the characters. That was me with the Hawaiian Headache.

LOL. That was definitely amusing.

Cool. I don't recall that one from the title alone....
