The Doctor Who convention was definitely my highlight of the year, and I'm definitely coming back this year. :)

I may or may not go back to mine next year. I'd like to but the price went up quite a bit so it's going to depend on who they bring (although they already brought most of my favorites this past year).

That being said if I do go back I think I will ask to volunteer, you kind of inspired me to try it. :)

I didn't get to see as many panels, either with or without guests, as I would have liked, but it felt less like I was by myself and more like a little community gathering of Dalek lovers, which was good. :)
I know that you like your anime and that there's a big convention in Boston every year, but CT's parent company is branching out and bringing their first DW con to Boston at $50 for three days. http://www.tardisconventions.com/#!boston/cftp

I actually live in Phila so not too close to Boston. I usually travel to Baltimore for an anime convention called Otakon. It's up in the air if I go to that either.

I have actually never been to Boston or Chicago for that matter. Both cities I would like to visit regardless of a convention. But it is cool to see the Doctor Who conventions expanding to other cities. Maybe some day they will have one in Phila. Although the Long Island one I went to while not close is doable for me. And it was a really nice con that I want to support.

Loved your answers! Yes, I can imagine it would be hard to top LI Who as best fandom moment of the year. :)

Aww, Hogan's Heroes. I really wish I could get my muse to sway in that direction a little bit, too.

Hogan's Heroes was a great fandom where I met a lot of lovely people so I miss that aspect the most. :)

Other series I enjoy just as much but I don't necessarily make the same connections.
