Fandom of the Year Meme 2014 Edition
Happy 2015 Everyone and here is a final look back on 2014:
1. Your main fandom of the year:
It's got to be Doctor Who but if I narrow it down it would specifically be the Troughton era & Big Finish.
Anime of course as always is a big fandom of mine.
2. Your favorite Film this year:
Nothing, I mean there have been films I enjoyed: Big Hero 6, Princess Kaguya, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Imitation Game, The Grand Budapest Hotel; but nothing has come out as a clear favorite for me this year.
Still have to see Boyhood which I have heard good things about.
3. Your favorite Book read this year:
As mentioned on a previous post I had 3: An Officer and a Spy, The Golem & the Jinni, and All the Lights We Cannot See.
4. Your favorite Album or Song this year:
The discovery of Frazer Hines singing Who is Doctor Who. It's as corny as Nimoy singing about Bilbo but I love it.

5. Your favorite TV Show this year:
TV would be Classic Who, Anime would be Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun
Also while I wouldn't call it a favorite (at least when compared to ATLA) I think Legend of Korra had a very satisfying ending. It was great to go from a show that I was disappointed in at first to a show I ended up really enjoying in the end and will miss.
6. Your favorite Community this year:
I finally unlocked my account on twitter and got to participate with TCM Party so I think that would be my favorite.
I also joined and very much enjoy the Big Finish forums.
7. Your best new Fandom Discovery of the Year?
Big Finish, I never expected expanded media to be so good.
Also Doctor Who Legacy which is a really fun and addicting game.
8. Your biggest Fandom Disappointment of the Year?
Nagi Asukara...not so much the show itself (although that was disappointing too) but it did lead to me stop posting on anime suki (don't want to get into it so don't ask)
9. Your favorite Fandom Boy of the year:
2nd Doctor and Jamie (TV wise)
8th Doctor, 6th Doctor, and Hex (Audio wise)
Mikorin (Anime wise)
10. Your favorite Fandom Girl of the year:
Zoe, Victoria, and Polly (TV wise)
Evelyn, Charley, and Lucie (Audio Wise)
Korra and Asami (Animation Wise)
11. Your biggest Squee moment of the year?
The Long Island Doctor Who convention was definitely the best moment of the year for me.
Secondary would be seeing Neil Gaiman on stage in NY & Matt Smith with Karen Gillan at Philly Comic Con.
12. Your most Missed Old Fandom?
FMA & Hogan's Heroes since I made the most fandom friends with those two (even though FMA fandom could be a pain too lol)
13. Your Fandom that you haven't Tried Yet, but want to?
I'd really like to watch more classic anime from the 80's and prior (and finish some I have started but put on hold)
14. Your Biggest Anticipations of the New Year?
I am going to see Angela Lansbury in DC & King and I in NY so probably that (also hoping to get tickets to see Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan on Broadway but that isn't set in stone yet).
Also as my previous post stated there are lot of upcoming Big Finish releases I am looking forward to.
