I know it's silly but I am already missing Japan so much and thinking about all the things I didn't have time to do. I am thinking to myself maybe I can go next Thanksgiving when I have 2 days off of work. Of course considering I want to move this coming Summer and traveling to Japan is not cheap that is probably not the most realistic thought but ( Read more... )

I don't think it's silly that you miss it! That ryokan is lovely though, omg. (Tatami scares me though b/c I'm always afraid I'm going to hurt it.)

I was afraid I would find sleeping on the floor uncomfortable (because I usually do) but sleeping on tatami on these mats was just wonderful. I could sleep every day there. And just think of the space it would save.
