Spring Anime 2012

Well I think I have finalized what I am watching for the spring. Most people have already done this already but I am a little slow (and I am wasting time instead of working).

My Favorites

Legend of Korra: Yes yes I know it's not anime but it's probably the only American animated series as good as anime for me, with interesting characters & world

I've heard a few other people say that Fate/Zero is an animated Game of Thrones which honestly makes me a little more interested in Game of Thrones.....

Well I am not saying they are exactly the same but they are both dark fantasy series where not everything is B&W. Game of Thrones (or actually A Song of Ice & Fire) is far longer with many more characters. However it's length is its strength and weakness. It's far more complex than Fate Zero but Fate Zero is also far more direct and to the point...Game of Thrones meanders quite a bit with a lot of really unnecessary stuff especially when you get to the later part of the story (which the TV series is definitely not even close to yet).

I'm kinda scared to hear that Fate/Zero is more to the point, especially with all the walking in circles while spouting exposition scenes we get. :heh:

Well the walking in circles & exposition scenes were just in the first episode XD

And my favorite parts of Fate Zero are the talking parts but that's just me.

A Song of Ice and Fire is based on 800-1000 page books & there is a whole lot of time wasting.

Well in the anime when Hachi went off to Mars for 7 years (or was it Jupiter I can't remember), Tanabe is pregnant and ends up at his parents house. I just didn't like that she had to wait for him while he pursued his own career. If they had showed her still working then I would be fine with that. Not that I mind house wives, but that is not how Tanabe was presented at the beginning of the story.

I don't really like reading the manga Online either (I can only fully enjoy manga when I am reading it in book format) But in general the One Piece manga is much better than anime...well I do love the seiyuu performances so there is that. But I am so behind on the manga it is just easier in a way to follow the anime. Oh well

Yeah that is another reason I disliked the anime ending because I heard they changed a better manga ending. :/

I want to hear Kamiyan as Law too. Started to watch the anime again after he already appeared (not sure how soon he will appear again). Well there is always YouTube clips I guess.
