Well besides this the two series couldn't be any more different but it's nice all the same :)

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Okay thanks to the Princesstutu community I am now completely addicted to the new My Little Pony Series. In my opinion it is the best American cartoon since Avatar: the Last Airbender. Of course before I get expectations too ( Read more... )

After all the horror stories of Rocks Fall Everyone Dies, I'll be waiting for Madoka to end before starting episode 2. I see so many people freaking out every week.

Also, I watched the pilot episodes of MLP when I read that the series broke 4chan (which is... just hilarious, NGL). It's cute and I'll make a marathon when I have the time.

I was prepared for what type of show Madoka was before even watching but I am still hoping for not a completely negative ending. :)

That was interesting to see the clip of the new "My Little Pony" series. I have such fond memories of watching the original when I was very young. I even had some of the toys (which I had since given to my younger cousin).

I used to watch the old series & movies too and I had a huge collection of the toys. Unfortunately I no longer have them and actually have no clue what happened to them (maybe my parents threw them out)

I really recommend the new series (all the full episodes are on youtube). It's quite clever and funny. I think it definitely surpasses then original series and has wider appeal. :)

I hope your parents didn't throw them out. Mom had a great idea as we grew up- she kept our most favorite toys, which are in bags in the basement. That way, when we have kids of our own (though I shudder at the thought), they'll have something to play with. :) In fact, we even have two or three of Dad's old board games. One of them is quite challenging, but a lot of fun nonetheless. And I don't even know how old our copy of Monopoly is.

I don't know- it looked a bit childish. But maybe I'll give it a try. :)

My mom threw out a lot of my stuff during moves and so forth. Although come to think of it some of the ponies might have been sold at garage sales. I probably didn't make half what they would be worth now though. Tis shame.

Well it is aimed at children but so is the movie in your icon. :)

I actually started watching it because I heard it has a large appeal outside its target demographic.. If you read comments on youtube you will also see this. Some of them are quite amusing like "only the manliest of men watch My Little Pony" XD

Madoka Magica! A friend introduced it to me, and I instantly fell in love with it, depressing as it may be. I love how it deconstructs the magical girl genre. The characters are interesting, too. I wonder how things will end, though. Right now, the series really reminds me of Higurashi and Umineko, what with the recent twists. Will a miracle happen, or will the series be depressing until the end? The suspense is killing me!

I hope it is a good ending. I think for me I wouldn't mind a somewhat happy ending as long as it is not a complete reset but for this series a bitter sweet ending would be best in my opinion. I hope it is not a completely depressing ending either. But then as long as it is executed well & believable I think I will be happy.

Still I guess either way it was a great ride. I am definitely glad I started watching before the end so I can experience the reaction. XD
