Movies I Want To See This Year & The Oscars

Many years I don't care at all about the movies coming out this time of year (in other words the movies obviously vying for Oscars). Not so this year, where there are at least 3 movies I want to see and yet I have little time. I still need to see Harry Potter. Me too it looks really good. Too many good movies to see and so little time.

I like Colin Firth a lot but I agree I can't really think of many recent movies he has been in that I have been very interested in seeing.

If I see Black Swan it will be my first Aronofsky film. I know about his other films just never felt the urge to watch any.

As for the Coen brothers I have definitely not seen them all. I have not seen O Brother (although I want to because it's a sort of homage to Sullivan's Travels). I disliked No Country but did like Fargo overall. I still think this one has a chance because the premise sounds very interesting to me.

I expect the Oscars to be as ludicrous as they usually are, anyway

Probably but I am thinking this year I at least will be interested in a few of the nominees. As for acting awards I usually have little faith in those.
