1) Really a wonderful actress who like so many should be better remembered today. I went on her IMDB page and saw not one person posted about her which makes me sad.

From what I understand also while Baccano took off in Online/International fandom it wasn't as big of hit in Japan like Drrr was. There could be a lot of factors for that of course. Drrr was already attractive to Baccano fans, as you said the Otaku references, the fact that it took place in Japan and the audience there might identify with the series more, and Shizuo/Izaya are very popular.

Of course this doesn't make me stop wishing that Baccano had more merchandise because despite Drrr!'s popularity I don't think it is as good as Baccano. But then again a lot of series I love don't get enough merchandise and fan support.

I am kind of annoyed that there is so much Durarara! merchandise but barely any merchandise for the similar yet in my opinion superior series Baccano.

Or fic. Though actually I'm not going to complain cause Baccano! has a lot of gen fic and in the Durarara fandom is difficult to find something other than Shizuo/Izaya fic so maybe actually the quantity of the fic is relative.

Yes quality is definitely more important than quantity. Although Baccano is not really a series I am that interested in reading fic for. I am very picky in that regard.

edit: Actually looking at the merchandise most of it seems to be Shizou/Izaya related which would piss me off if I was a fan of the series because it leaves off so many of the other characters.
