Discovering Dame Wendy Hiller & Other Stuff

1) Really a wonderful actress who like so many should be better remembered today. I went on her IMDB page and saw not one person posted about her which makes me sad.

She was apparently the favorite actress of the Playwright George Bernard Shaw playing many of his heroines on stage and at least a few on the screen such as Eliza Dolittle in Pgymalion (my first Wendy Hiller movie) and the title role in Major Barbara.

In general she seemed to play intelligent & spunky women. I just finished watching I Know Where I'm Going a charming romance film directed by Powell & Pressburger (a directing team I love the more I watch from them).

Later on Wendy (when she was not acting on the stage) moved to impressive character roles like the wife of Thomas Moore in A Man for all Seasons

2) I am kind of annoyed that there is so much Durarara! merchandise but barely any merchandise for the similar yet in my opinion superior series Baccano. What is up with that? Yes I know this is pretty random but I have just been seeing so much cool stuff for Drrr! lately that I wonder why there isn't any cool stuff for Baccano. Though I think Baccano wasn't as popular in Japan which makes me sad. :(

3) Still waiting for my last volume of Hagaren. I purposely avoided all scans of the extras because I want to see them for myself. Of course I guess it is a bit easier than waiting for the final chapter since I know my book already shipped.

Also New Art Book OMG I am so happy! I will be pre-ordering that as soon as I can.

And Last but not Least

Happy Birthday Amestris_Star
