First anime you remember watching as a child? A bunch from Nickelodeon such as Maya the Bee and Grimm's Masterpiece Theater. Of course I did not realize they were anime at the time.

I guess the first series I knew was anime was Pokemon.

First anime you purchased? First individual DVD was DBZ (never collected the whole series).

Oh, what was wrong with Romeo X Juliet? I've considered trying it off and on.

Wow, I didn't know there was an Anne Frank anime. Very interesting.

To me Gonzo took Romeo and Juliet and turned it into a cliche story with cliche characters. Granted R&J is not necessarily Shakespeare's' best work but it's much better than what Gonzo turned it into.

I actually heard there were two Anne Frank films. The one I saw was from the 1990's but there is an even older one. It was really very good.

LOL, I used to watch Maya the Bee and David the Gnome when I was a kid. Likewise, I had no idea that they were anime. XD

I believe David the Gnome is actually from Spain. But I loved that one too as a kid. :)

There was also the anime Little Bits that came on Nick. It used to be such a great channel (although I do love Avatar: The Last Airbender).
