Match Game is Love

Recently I've become pretty obsessed with reruns of Match Game. Which is a game show from the 1970's where two contestants are read a sentence (usually a very silly one) and they have to fill in the blank with their own creative response (and the responses can get quite creative). Of course the object of the game is not just to come up with a ( Read more... )

OMFG I LOVE MATCH GAME!

Srsly. When we got game show network, it was my favorite show on there. I'd watch it along with Family Feud, the Newlywed Game, etc.

And ironically, when my brother was sending me YouTube links to "dumbest game show answers ever" and stuff like that just a couple days ago, I ran across it again and started looking for the reruns on YouTube. XD

The celebrities were hilarious and I just loved the show so much. XD And I still LOL at how almost all the girls would always try to match Richard if they got to the end. He was such a ladie's man and a sweetheart. What always amused me the most were when the contestants would give answers that the whole audience would BOOOOO and then they'd match someone on the panel anyway. XDDDD

Yay glad to find another fan. It's such a crazy & fun show.

I think if I had been lucky enough to be alive and be a contestant on the show I would have chose Richard too (he was very good looking but then he also tended to give good answers, I think even male contestants picked him a lot). But if Betty White was on the panel I would have been conflicted because I am a big fan of hers. XD

It really is. XD I figured no one even knew what it was nowadays, at least from this generation. I literally squee'd when I saw the post. hahaha

...Yeah, I'm pretty sure I would have, as well. XD; He really did give answers that were easy to match. (And you're right. XD A lot of people did choose him. haha) Betty and Charles were amazing, too. XD And I loved it when they were bicker or disagree on the show, or make fun of each other's answers. hahaha Good times.

Although Brett didn't always give the best answers I am also a big fan of hers. I love her personality and style. And of course the teasing relationship she had with Charles. XD

Of the recurring guests besides Betty I am also quite fond of Fannie Flagg.
