So six episodes in and I am still not sure what I feel about this series. I guess the mystery is intriguing (although part of me still worries it will just be a huge let down) and I find the male character likable enough but the female character still annoys me. I guess I am enjoying the plot too but I do have some issues with the characters. Not all of them. I mean I like Akira but something about Saki just doesn't do it for me. And even though I enjoy watching the series for the plot I can't say it is developing into a favorite of mine. But I will keep watching since it is only 11 episodes (not counting the movie)

I wasn't a big fan of Library Wars but that is more that I just couldn't get into it. There wasn't anything I specifically disliked about it just not my thing. Although I didn't feel it was a Noitamina type show. That's not necessarily a negative thing. I don't think FMA would be a Noitamina show and you know how I feel about that.

once complained about how I thought Saki was a weak female lead in a mostly male forum and what I got in response was "Why don't you like her? She's so cuuuuuuuute!"

I'm not surprised because she definitely seems like a type of character to appeal more to male fans. And I don't mind that she is cute but just the fact that she seems defined by this. Even the whole interview thing was overblown to make the audience feel sorry for her. I would rather have seen her interview go badly in a more realistic sense. Not the mean people threw something on her outfit.

I'm really loving Cross Game too. It's definitely my favorite this season. I get what you mean by the unrealistic nature of the show but I can
