So apparently the Graveyard Book was awarded the Newbery Medal (top prize for Children's Literature) for 2009. I found his comment on how proud of himself he didn't swear on the phone with the librarians to be greatly amusing (though his Twitter comment on the matter was even more so).

Now I shall have to buy another copy of the book once they've got editions with shiny Newbery medals on the covers out.

I am almost happy to have the book without it because I feel like one of those early adopters. XD

Oh, I've been meaning to get into his writing! I haven't read anything of his yet but I've heard so much about him from my friends. :) One reviewer of one of my fanfics compared my writing style to his and I was quite flattered, haha. So that makes me even more curious to read some of his stuff!

Oooh, it may be more entertaining than most of the movies, but you need to see Slumdog Millionaire before you can say that definitively. Slumdog is pretty darn entertaining, even with some of the dark and disturbing themes in it.

If you saw the English version of Princess Mononoke he adapted that. :)

I don't like all his stuff but he writes so much different stuff that you are bound to find something you enjoy of his. .

And as for the Oscar Nominations that is why I said most not all.:)
