Yay! More opera on my friendslist :-) If nothing else it's an excuse to use my opera userpics. I guess Der Rosenkavalier is kind of suitable (even if it is more of a grumpy icon.)
I reallly meant Susan Graham You fangirl people. :-P I'll keep sticking to "the more the merrier" for all my fandoms. There are way to many mezzos around to only stick to one.
So I'm noticing actually. I think I have just imprinted on Susan ;) I kinda like Sara Conolly and this other Greek one whose name has totally escaped me....
But yeah, I hate to say I'm probably gonna be one of those really annoying opera fans that doesn't know enough about music to have anything to say other than "PRETTY!" and take it from a slightly more theatrical approach.
I guess it really is incorrect to say that I am entering the opera fandom. It's more that I'm gonna be following opera much more now that I have easy access to the MET and am close to the DC opera house.
I almost snickered a little, considering I just wrote a similar entry days before. I hope you still want to be part of my journal, even if we don't talk much lately :)
To me, it's already getting tough when I don't pay close attention to everything related Zuka for just a month.. then it's already hard to get back into things. I still love it as much as always, but right now I just can't keep up. Guess you either have to be 110% obsessed (not meant negatively) or a fanclub member or have to live in Japan to keep the level of deep attachment to the Revue. Okay, that was a rant about my own feelings (sorry!), but that way I try to explain how I can connect to your shared thoughts :) There are so many other things you *have* to get done in your life and there's often not much time for an extensive hobby like that. So I can imagine being both a member of Eriko's fc and a devoted Zuka fan can be tough/not manageable.
Of course, I want to continue following your journal and am looking forward to your personal entries. I remember reading something about a Twitter account? Well, just got me one today (will be more coherent in the future, I promise), so I'd love to
( ... )
Haha, its totally okay. I noticed a while back you have gone slightly MIA ;)
I love your posts and I think you are a great person SO therefore I will love to follow your twitter. Will add you in a second. ^___^ Warning: I am much more hyper on twitter XD
Oh you did notice.. now I'm even feeling a bit more embarrassed about it, actually ^^;; I do read all Zuka-related entries, but atm I just can't seem to bring myself to comment on them (although I wasn't active on LJ for nearly a month anyways). lalala
Thank you so much! I'm feeling all flattered now and can return the compliment wholeheartedly.
A lot of my friends seem to be on Twitter, so I'm excited reading about their, including of course your, daily ramblings ^_^ HYPER! HYPER!
I'm happy to be your friend and part of your life, RL and LJ, no matter what interests we have, in common or not. You are still one of the most awesome people I met evar <3
Zuka fandom can be exhausting, as we all know I think, and you should do what's going to work for you. Honestly maybe not having one huge omg fandom that sucks your attention is what you need right now. *hugs*
