Guys. Hey, guys.

I'm writing a KiraHina ship manifesto and I'm nearly done, but the fan section is...well, kind of empty, save for a few links. So I ask you, fellow shippers, why do you like KiraHina? Is there any particular moment that defined it for you? Go all out, bbs, I want to hear the whole story. ♥

Thank you so much for doing this!

I think the first time I ever had a clue that there was something to be said for the pairing was when someone finally sent me a copy of the Academy flashback chapter. His motives for that whole span of time were much clearer, and the fanon portrayal he gets--as hung up on Gin--is sort of shattered when held against the idea that he was doing everything he could to keep Momo safe. The most heartbreaking moment of that whole revelation period for me was re-reading the SS arc and getting to the top panel of this page. MY GOD. you just made me fall in love with my die-hard-ship ALL OVER AGAIN.
Oh marry me please dear lordy you are so persuasive!

I- I only shipped it 'cause of similarities - ie how on the division recruitment posters the only diffrence between what they say is Momo says Betray and Kira says lie for what they don't want - and how Kira was all @I raised my sword against Hinamori- I don't deserve to live, OTL'

DUDE, if the whole world could see this they'd be converted!

For me, I think one of the most appealing aspects of a Izuru and Momo romance is that it is a relationship of equals who understand each other. They were friends in their academy days and they know each others strengths and weaknesses. They both know what the other is capable of and respect each other. They also have the similar experiences of being betrayed by captains they trusted and respected. The fact that they were both so easily deceived, I think, points to similar innocent and idealistic personalities that believe the strong should protect the weak ( ... )
