I'd say start at $15 with standard, $20 for floating, and no less than $25 for double-sided floating (maybe even $30 for the most insanely detailed). I generally consider $20 to be a decent median price for conbadges. (That's what I'll be paying neverwench, I believe.)
And hell yeah your badges are good enough :D Especially the double-sided floating, they rock XD
The DS floating could be the most time consuming so maybe you should push for the floating and take on only a limited list of DS per day, have a little signup chart for those, and for the other two kinds do whatever you can. If the extra time spent on the DS means you can't fulfill another conbadge commish, then the extra money for the DS style isn't worth it.
Hmmm... Okay, that sounds good. :) Thanks for the input! XD
Yeah, the DS floaters will definitely be the most time consuming... As in, I think even if I had a sign-up sheet (wonderful idea, btw; thank you :D), I wouldn't expect to take more than two a day, if even. o_O Hmmmmmmm.... Sometime before the con starts, I'll have to time myself doing badges so I know just exactly how long it would take me, and how many I can do in 8-9 hours.
Agreed... sounds like those prices are good. I'd charge 30 for the double-sider... those things look difficult. Spiff, but difficult. Depends how quick you can draw I suppose.
... uhm... FC - is it worth going? I've never been to a furry con. Thinking I might try one, but it'd have to be somewhat local... but seeing as I don't have a car, dunno how I'd get to San Jose. :|
Hmmm... I think I might just do that. They're really fun to do, but man do they take a lot of time. o_O I can sketch quickly, and I can ink quickly enough... I just have to do it twice. ;)
I would definitely say FC is worth going. If you're ever going to go to a furry con, FC is the best (especially if you're more or less local). :P It's nicer than AC, and it's still pretty big so you don't really lose out on any of the 'con experiences'. Well, actually, my main thing about going was to meet everyone, and people come out to FC, so. :P
You could BART to Millbrae, then Caltrain down, I think. ;) Or take AC transit (those are free for UCB students still, right?) across the SM Bridge and take Caltrain from there (or some line of the AC transit might take you directly there). You'd have to look it up.
Hm. I'll have to research the whole Caltrain thing. But then there's a whole stay overnight or attempt to squeeze into a day sort of deal. Mebbe I should just wait til I have a car, or something. -.-
>< Well, honestly, I wouldn't mind at all if you wanted to crash at my place, but I've already got about 6 other people planning on staying over for the entire weekend, and my place isn't -that- big. :/ No one else you know is going who can let you sleep on the floor or something?
Otherwise... if it's viable at all, you may just want to Caltrain home instead, of course seeing how long it would take to get down first.
