See, even if I do that, all he has to do is say that my mom is violating probation. Since she is on papers, they HAVE to investigate.
I have no other family around here and can't leave because of critical appointments (unemployment, doctors for the baby, food stamps, etc....) The shelters I wouldn't trust either..they are riddled with rape, drugs and disease.
Her and my step dad have two dogs and 7 cats. You're only allowed two.
The animals are his..and they're all fairly old. Basically, his kids, you can say. He never got the chance to have his own kids, so they became his "children."
You need to get out, as quickly as possible. Note that he will act much, much worse when you actually do leave. Check out resources online for leaving abusive relationships, keep yourself & your child safe, and good luck.
P.S. I'm not sure how owning that many animals would constitute a violation of probation, but it is easy enough to have a friend take care of the cats for the time being.

If you're on felony probation, the slightest violation gets you revoked.
