There were so many things he had wanted to do, so many ideas he had. He wanted to run his mouth along all the lines of Merlin’s body, he wanted to spread him open and fuck him with his mouth and his fingers and make him squirm and writhe and beg for more, and he wanted to wrap his mouth around his cock and see what Merlin tasted life, and feel Merlin’s fingers tangling in his hair and feel him lose control as Arthur swirled his tongue around him. He wanted to open himself up and lower himself down and then ride Merlin and just… God, he wanted everything, everything all at once ( ... )

This...was...gah! Incredible! I have tears man TEARS! Running like RIVERS down my face!! This was such a brilliant take and so refreshing (as it's usually Merlin pining for Arthur) and and...GUH! The angst was crushing but the ending - oh the ENDING! I loved it, totally made it worth the crushing! I do so love it when a happy ending comes together ^___^ Thank you SO FREAKIN MUCH for sharing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I'm really so happy that you liked it though. Y'know, when I was writing it I didn't actually think it was that angsty - shows what I know.

Oh my god - what an amazing story! I think my heart broke at roughly fourteen different points on Arthur's behalf because you described the pain of unrequited love so well.

But the end, as Arthur said, was so worth waiting for! Am off to bookmark this one for further reading. Just fantastic and one of the most realistic modern AUs I have read in the fandom.

The thing is, I feel Arthur's pain so, so much. Some how, you've done that thing where you've absolutely tapped into my own feelings and insecurities and GAH. STOP READING MY SECRET DIARY OF SECRETNESS - as you obviously are doing, because how else could you strum my pain with your fingers, sing my life with your words, as you have done here? (YES, THAT'S RIGHT - I've resorted to quoting Roberta Flack songs).

Author, be sure to tell us here when you are ready to post this elsewhere. Or my, um, heart might explode. That is all.

Gods, this was marvelous. Heartbreaking (because Arthur) and slow, slow Merlin (I sort of want to kick him in the shin. Very sweet. Loved.

This was beautifully written and heart felt and true to the characters. Their friendship and loyalty to one another was gorgeous and it hurts how devoted Arthur is even when the possibility of being more than friends is taken off the table. He's just such a loyal guy, it's no wonder he never wavers. Your Merlin, also, was wonderful and even when he's breaking Arthur's heart, I was pulling for him to be happy. Thank you for allowing them to find happiness together, I wasn't sure if it was ever going to happen.

This. This is how falling in love really feels. Sometimes it's not mutual and it takes the other party forever to figure it out and actually feel the same way. This was beautifully done!

Great story! I love how arthur waiting for Merlin all those years. Merlin is so oblivious but he was right Arthur should have said something. Make a move. merlin thought Arthur is over him
