Arthur/Merlin, When Arthur finds out about Merlin's magic, he initially agrees not to turn Merlin in on the basis that Merlin stop using magic completely, even going as far to put an unnoticeable, magic-inhibiting shackle on Merlin. But not being able to use his magic has a devastating effect on Merlin. Angst ensuing, please.

Bonus points if Merlin still manages to save Arthur from something stupid/magic despite the restraint.

Wonderful story. Would have loved to see more h/c between them, but Merlin having his magic inhibited is one of my favourite things in this fandom. Thankyou for fulfilling so many prompts!

I liked the story, though I'm not sure why Merlin forgave Arthur so easily.

(Also, I think it needs a non-con warning)

I'm seconding the need for a non-con warning, please. Despite the fact a familiarity & pre-established relationship is implied, I don't see how this could be anything but non-con.

I wouldn't have minded a rape warning. There was nothing in this prompt that made me think Arthur would rape Merlin and I was a bit unprepared for that. :(

Sorry - when I started writing this, the vague plan in my head was "borderline-dub-con", and I didn't anticipate non-con. Somehow my brain keeps changing the directions halfway through...

Not above anon, but if you were anticipating borderline dub-con, couldn't you have at least warned for that? It wouldn't have been correct, but it would have been better than nothing.

I don't mean to be attacking you or anything, so I apologise if I come off that way. As someone with triggers, though, this made me very uncomfortable - and this is putting it lightly, because I really don't want to dwell on it and make myself feel worse. I'm typically very good at preparing myself against these sort of scenarios, but the fact that this just came out of nowhere was enough to set me off, and I'm very worried about others as well.
