He was curled up on the couch in his pyjamas that evening, feeling sorry for himself and wondering if he should transfer schools, when Morgana came in with a stack of DVDs. "I don't remember giving you a key," he said, but couldn't work up the energy for more than a half-hearted glare. "What did you bring?"

"You're still in the beginning stages," she replied, laying out her movies. "I thought we might start with something lighter than Babette, for now."

They watched Belle du Jour and he felt marginally better knowing he still found tiny blonde women very, very hot.

"Now tell me, what's wrong?" Morgana said after the movie, over tea, and he felt so miserable he actually told her.

"I'm a poof," he mumbled. "You would think I'd have noticed before now, but I always liked girls and now there's this boyShe listened patiently, and for that he forgave her for thinking over it for nearly five minutes and making him feel even more stupid than he had before ( ... )

At five he had to leave for practise. "If I asked you out again, what would you say?" he said, putting their mugs by the rubbish bin.

"I'd say you still haven't learnt how to ask someone out," Merlin replied, laughing. "But I would probably say yes, anyway."

He gave Merlin his mobile number, and discovered Merlin only had a rotary phone. "Lord, what have I got myself into," Arthur exclaimed, "when I want to date a man who lives in a cave? Do you even have a telly ( ... )

oh my god, you have absolutely NAILED all the indie hipster stereotypes (right down to Merlin dipping his carrots in hummus, bravo!) and I am LOVING it lmao! This story is fantastic - I love all the little details (i.e. Morgana forgetting to turn off the voicemail alert). This is just such a great story and I'm so excited to follow it and read more :)!!

This is just so delightful. I love how adorably awkward they are but slowly moving forward. Lovely writing.
