It's the new "rich text" editor for LJ... it does a lot of extra crap when it comes to cuts and I f'd it up. Just fixed it though. Hopefully I didn't spoil it for anyone!
and double WTF for the end... I'm gonna watch LOST and pray for some good tv befor bedtime.
Well, no one's ever accused me of having taste, but....
I thought Chloe's was the only one that was significantly different. Both Daniel and Santino's collections just left me wondering who they were designing for. And Daniel had one piece that looked (from the waist up) almost exactly like the abomination he made for Chloe earlier in the season. Though not exactly stunning, Chloe's had pizzazz, at least. Although the piece that Nick and Daniel did together was my favorite. I still think Nick should have made top three.
I eschewed Lost and watched Top Chef instead. As expected, the asshole was the first voted off the island.
yeah, that goes back to my point that none of them really had the sort of spark that Ker and Jay had last season--or Austin for that matter. And I agree, Dan and San didn't seem to pull a theme together. But as Chloe's theme just seemed to be "Sleek Suck" it was unable to win me over.
Well, so far it looks like a reasonably standard elimination show, but the people they chose are pretty serious about winning. There are the "personalities": the loud overbearing irishman, the older earthy diner owner, the personal chef to the stars, the health food nut, the smarmy sommelier, the win-at-all-costs woman, the modeling student turned cook. My favorite (besides the head judge chef).... OK, my favorite *contestant* is the stereotypically gay Dave, with blond hair and van dyke to match (which, ironically, looks natural). He seems like a nice guy at heart, which I liked a lot. Actually, there are a couple of nice people on the show, which makes it more enjoyable already than Hell's Kitchen was. Lower key, more adult.
Ok, I can say this because I'm currently on the other side of the world and well outside of tomato-throwing range...but I thought Chloe was the best of the three. Keep in mind that I couldn't see the show so I can only go by the pics on the Bravo website. Some of Daniel's clothes were gorgeous but I don't think one piece could be considered "couture". They were just too pedestrian. Same with Santino's collection -- some pieces were nice but a lot of it was just that ridiculous Santino crap that could never even be adapted into something that any normal woman would wear. I have to say that from an overall perspective Chloe's collection was the best.
I'll agree that Chloe presented herself and her vision the best out of the three. But I still hated her clothes. It was indeed a complete collection... a collection of what I'll never know...
