On the last day I was in London I stopped in at a comic book store and picked up a few things. One was a little mag called Super F*ckers which is sitting on my coffee table at the moment calling out to be read. Here's a shot if it:
Barbapapa!!! I LOVED them. We had Barbapapa books. I especially remember "Barbapapa's Ark" where everyone made the world so sucky that they built a spaceship and took all the animals away and everyone was sad so they cleaned up the world so they could have the animals back.
They could change shapes. One of them was really strong (I think the yellow one) and stuff like that.
Hehehe, I knew I wouldn't be the only one who knew about these guys! I had that book as well. The red one is strong and the yellow one digs animals (check out their site--bios and everything!)
Since I became aware of gay men, I've always wished that the phrase "Clickety-click. Barba-trick!" would cause wonderful things to happen for me the way they did for Barbapapa. So far, no luck. *sigh*
And did you know that the name comes from "barbe á papa" - father's beard - which is French for cotton candy.

I grew up watching Barbapapa on tv. Clickety-click Barba trick! Haha, I'd forgotten all about that!
I tried finding episodes of these on various P2P services, but only found the theme song in some different languages. Just noticed that someone's selling the dvds on ebay though. Hmmm...

Love it. Now I'll have to find myself a copy of the book.
