On the last day I was in London I stopped in at a comic book store and picked up a few things. One was a little mag called Super F*ckers which is sitting on my coffee table at the moment calling out to be read. Here's a shot if it:
Pretty neat-o lookin'. Now - in more bizarre type findings I ran across this coaster set that featured characters I hadn't seen since I was probably 5 or 6 years old. They're from a children's story book series that I had a few of and was crazy about. It's called Barbapapa and it's about this family of silly puddy like creatues of various hues that live together and always do the right thing etc. Teaching young Brian good, solid, liberal values. Each member of the family has something they're good at. Sports, Art, being smart, Books, Being Hot, digging animals, and being a musician. The Dad is good at everything and the Mom is good at being a Mom. The book I had was all about them foiling the plans of the evil toxic corperate types who were building something that was polluting the area around where the family lived. Very much a Lorax vibe. I think
inmfs would appreciate it. So I picked up these coasters:
They're sort of odd and ghey but I like them. Was sort of a neat flash back. If you click on the pics you can go to their site and learn all about them, play games. Geeky shit like that. Anyone else have any experience with these folks in their childhood?
