A Different Kind of Sameness

I'm sitting at my computer right now ripping music to mp3.  I feel like I've been here before.  Taking each CD I own and ripping it into mp3. I let my anal nature get the best of me.  I decided to re-rip my library through iTunes so I have consistent bitrates (320kbs) and so all the file IDs etc are the same.  Once I'm done I'm probably going to do

Brian - Thanks for this. Reading 'Status Updates' on FB is fun but the very structure of FB doesn't encourage or facilitate 'deeper' posts such as yours here.

I've not been able to get away from LJ because facebook is like B411, in that you get little snipped of people but tend to get to know people better on LJ.

Yup - But when I read my friends list now it's more or less the same 5 or 6 people keeping up with it (out of hundreds) and that's a bummer.

I know what you mean about the whole LJ to Facebook back to LJ thing. My friends list was like a wasteland. I enjoy facebook but it's not really the forum to "go there" on certain topics and I missed that part of livejournal.

You are 100% correct on the bartending deal. Someone who does it well makes all the difference.
