I watched most of it yesterday and finished it today.  I love Charlie Kaufman's work (Being John Malkovitch, Adaptation) and this film was really something to take in.  I never get tired of seeing Katherine Keener on the screen, that's for sure.  Anyhow, this passage comes from a scene in which an actor playing a priest is given a new "scene" to ( Read more... )

It's worth seeing for sure. I might give it a second viewing down the road.

I did. Both excellent films. He did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind too, right?

Yes, he helped write it along with Michel Gondry [director] (who's another fav of mine). I love that movie too.

I bought this movie so I could watch it over and over. Sometimes it feels like a hug, and other times a gut punch.

I'm thinking I'm going to buy it as well. I've gone back to Adaptation about once a year because I just enjoy the experience of watching it so much (and that is saying a LOT because I really don't like Nicolas Cage as an actor these days). Charlie Kaufman is truly a gifted writer and filmmaker. He's able to make something complex and beautiful that's still accessible and universal.
