Yesterday I went along with bearxxl and raisincub to seek the comfort and stability that can only be found in my place of worship, Disneyland. I think if everyone abandoned their false idols and embraced the one true God that we'd live in a world not of thrilling stock crashes but rather thrilling bobsled rides... not of 5 martini lunches spent figuring out how ( Read more... )

My response to people like Claw Woman it to make eye contact as intensely as I can, immediately, and to say in a deadpan voice, "You're touching me."

Where is the best food in/around Dland?

And are the monte cristos the fully deep-fried kind?

On the whole the food at Disney is sorta Feh... The Blue Bayou is known for being the high end spot but it's food is pretty much wedding reception style and the service is generally poor. Worth doing once. Near there, across from the "Pieces of Eight" gift shop is the spot we ate at and all liked. It has crepes, monte cristos, ratatoulli, etc. It's sit-down with wait staff and we had a good experience. And yes, the cristos were fully deep fried in a light batter.

Beyond that... the Mexican spot near thunder mountain is decent. Most everything else in the park(s) is just ho-hum (ok, the chowder bread bowls always look yummy but I haven't tried 'em). I tend to be the go! go! go! kind of Disney person so a lot of times I subsist on churros and popcorn with perhaps a hotdog or corndog to keep me going.

Outside of Disney I haven't explored much. Just the italian spot we ate at (so-so) and Red Lobster... heh heh.

I'm headed there in a couple of weeks with some pals. We'll be eating lunch at Club 33 but I was wondering if there was anything good in/around the parks for dinner. Red Lobster?!? Maybe I'll just stick to beer.

It's time for the dumb question of the day....

What's MK and CA? :-)

That'd be the Magic Kingdom (the primary park) and California Adventure (the secondary one).

A ha!

Of course, you DO realise that I want YOU (and e-ticket?) plus the GORGEOUS Mr. Land to be my guides when I come over, don't you? :-)
