Midday Report

Today's song is brought to you by Band of Horses. They're one of the handful of bands that I am currently digging quite a bit. This song is off their most recent release (the album is called Cease to Begin). Listening is, as always, totally optional but gently encouraged.

Inspired by pharmbear, I'm heading with some of the guys for sushi dinner tonight. ( Read more... )

carpooling, youtube, sushi bears, things and stuff

ps2 - Yes, it's true... I really do think the new Kelly video is The Suck ...

Definitely not as memorable as its predecessors, especially considering that "Let Me Borrow That Top" is essentially "Shoes ~ Part 2".

"You have a jooooob?"

Well, LOL, ok.

Yeah, Shoes and Top are the two that I've enjoyed... the other two are pretty forgettable.

Although, oops, I think the line was, "You work?"

The Kelly video was pretty good until the music started.

Band of Horses are great, The General Specific is my addictive song of the moment.

Good luck with the Sushi bears! I think our next one is going to be next door to the Kabuki baths. We will dine then adjourn to splash about naked together. If that doesn't get the bears out....nothing will!

Thanks Mike... it'll be tough to find a place that matches the great experience we had on Wednesday.

Your Kabuki/Sushi sounds like a winner. I'd go!

Remember that as the organizer of Sushi Bears you are required to step up on the table, drop your pants and scream if anyone orders California Rolls.

Hmmm, the tables were glass... that could have ended in tragedy.

Actually, I was the only one I think who had a CA Roll variant (the James Bomb and Rainbow Rolls both have CA bases)...

I think Mike meant the rule to apply only to standard boring CA rolls. I had sushi again tonight with a couple friends at a place that does some of my favorite rolls. Man, unagi with avocado just makes me melt! Still enjoying my sushi coma :-)
