Not too much to post about today really. I had a decent weekend. Sat down with some folks and watched Flashdance on Friday - I hadn't seen it all the way through in ages and a few of the folks watching had never seen it at all. It's so amazingly (agonizingly?) 80s. I mean, it's basically a series of music videos with very small exchanges of ( Read more... )

In regards to Rockband...are drums not totally the shiznit! I too have had some long nights of non-stop drumming. It actually counts for exercise if you get really into it (wish I had Tommy Lees' drum cage from the Wild Side video). Though playing with my band "The Weighted Companion Cubes" is usually when I have the most fun.

Not sure if you have heard the rumor mill, but now Guitar Hero 4 is supposed to be bringing in there own drum setup (game specific of course...as if storing our toy instruments wasn't hard enough)which is a six piece including two cymbals!

Until then I'd just like to get one score up on the ol' xbox live scoreboards I can be proud of.

Nice band name! We're SeeSextion... I really do dig the drums. The back beats kick my ass though. Not sure if I'll ever be able to really get through Hard much less Expert.

I have heard that - was reading the GH4 Wiki. I dunno.. I'm hesitant about having a shit load of fake instruments all over my house. Now, if they came to some sorta agreement how the peripherals could work for both games then I'd probably buy into it. We'll see. I like Rockband but my gripe is that their guitar element isn't as thoughtfully put together as GH's... And by that I mean that their chord progressions etc just don't seem as natural or "right" as the GH ones tend to be.
