Me and God

John was kind enough to give me his copy of "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins when he was visiting a few months ago.  I was just able to get started on it last week after finishing "The Golden Compass".  I have to say, I'm enjoying the read.  It's a slow go with me as I'm really trying to take the time to focus in on the material.  It's been so ( Read more... )

Brian - By coincidence I'm reading this now as well. You're right; it is worth the effort.

I believe in God but have all kinds of issues w/organized religion. Buddhists, Quakers and Reform Jews seem to do that the best.

I don't really believe in 'God', per se. I do, however, believe in Karma. You get back whatever you put out, essentially.. this is why my basic tenet or belief system is 'The Golden Rule' (e.g. "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you")
