The Album Cover Meme has now been moved from it's home as a Set on my Flickr page to it's own Group Page on Flickr. So, if you'd like to take part you can do so directly on the Flickr site. 3)the staph infection is pretty scary. But since i've been celibate (not by choice) for a while, i'm not that worried... yet. ;-)

According to Wikipedia, a meme is a neologism used to describe a catchphrase or concept that spreads in a faddish way from person to person via the Internet

OK, but how does that translate into the current useage.

When Brian talks about creating a meme, what exacly is it and what is it used for?

Eric, there are sorts of memes - generally it's some sort of quiz, project, question set, activity for you to take part in and do yourself and then post the results of, thoughts on, etc...

These run the gamut from the Santa Cap Meme (take a pic of yourself in a santa cap and post it) to filling out online questionnaires like "which member of sex in the city are you most like?" and posting those results.

The general consensus is that memes are lame and if your LJ is made up of only meme results then you are lame as well.

The Album Cover Meme was a rare one that wasn't lame and was actually pretty damn cool. As you build out your Friends List a bit you'll start to see more examples of 'em.

Actually, within this post is the LJ Comment Meme that's going around right now (posting the stats of who comments the most on yer LJ).

Agreed - glad you enjoyed the collection. I've already had 5 people submit new covers to the Flickr group so you might want to keep an eye on it as well.
