I've been on a jury once. A guy had bought items at Circuit City and then returned 'em with rocks in the boxes (selling the actual items) so he could get the refund. The dopey fuck bought the stuff on his credit card though and had an excuse that held about as much water as OJ's case (but this guy was found guilty).

I dig jury duty honestly. I like the change of pace from my normal routine.

Jury service is a nice way to show your good citizenry and help the courts, however, they don't compensate you enough, they treat you like a criminal if you say that your finances are more important, and generally make it into a very unpleasant experience. After serving on 2 juries in my life, everytime I got the call I would answer the questions in the most close minded offensive way I could without being in contempt of court and jury service. If asked if I would weigh a cops testimony over a citizens I always say "no, there are more crooked cops in the USA, in my opinion, so why should I trust them more than anyone else." That alone usually gets me thanked and excused.

I've been called in 3 or 4 times and been on a jury once. I've never had a bad experience. I think my only complaint is that the parking downtown blows and what you are paid to do jury duty barely covers the cost of the lot charge. But I get paid by my company when I'm on j/d so I don't mind.

I'm fascinated by people and j/d is a great time to be exposed to some really interesting examples of crazy.

I wasn't so lucky to have work compenstate me. I too love to watch and learn and see the depravity of humanity....lol, but for me making a living had to come first. Anyway, good luck. XOXO

You should take the bus. It's super easy and only 2.25.

I've actually been summoned twice, called the day before only to find out they already had more than enough and was released. I have yet to ever sit on a jury.
