I'm Considering

Getting the following piece done as a very early birthday present to myself. When I was in Dallas I talked with my buddy Sean quite a bit about his tattoos and how they tell the story of him. I've long considered getting one but I've never been inspired by something in a way that made me want to capture it on my skin. I was immediately drawn to ( Read more... )

I was fortunate enough to grab a print of this at a recent san diego comic-con - It's my first piece of art i've ever owned. I can't see myself separating from it for a very long time.

if you check Luke Chueh's website, http://www.lukechueh.com/sightings.html - and scroll to the bottom, there's a couple of "possessed" tattoos. Some of em look great, while others... well don't. My favorite is the one from Daniel - it' does a great job of capturing the background color, while still making a viable tattoo. Hope this helps.

Wow, thanks for pointing that out. I have to admit, there's a part of me that wanted to be the "only one" with a tat of it but I guess that's not very realistic. And I agree, a couple are very nice and more than a couple are not. If anything, it gives me an idea of how to incorporate the background.

yeah.. i didn't want to be the one that burst your bubble.. but better now than later. What matters more is what it means to you.

For me, i found a print of it right when i was starting the process of coming out. The art will always remind me of the struggles I've put myself through.

Yeah, but I don't really feel it's connected to me... if anything, I'd be the guy taking the bear costume off.

Ah! "Possessed" is one my absolute favorites pieces from the amazing Luke Chueh. I was so lucky to get a limited edition prototype of the little flying devil in which he drew a unique version of everyoe who waited patiently in line and paid the money for it.

They've been talking about the upcoming vinyl version of this amazing piece for over a year now. Last I heard was this spring:

I'm thinking on my upper arm - it's one of the few spots that isn't very hairy and where I could see it myself!
