Wow - I had never seen the successful completion of Dragon's Lair. I could barely get through 3 minutes of it...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Bluth talks about Don Bluth, the man who animated the game. Among his many credits is The Secret of NIMH and the animated sequences from Xanadu and Mary (Scissor Sisters)...very cool.

Yeah, the original was just about impossible to beat. I remember idolizing my uncle when I was a kid because he could beat the game. Later on when I was managing an arcade we had Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp and I was able to complete it (it had vignettes as opposed to super short scenes).

Yeah, Don Bluth has a very particular animation style that comes through in Secret of Nymn and All Dogs Go To Heaven amoung other movies. I think he was a disney guy and then broke away to do things on his own.

Totally - I mean, I found all those in about ten minutes. I could easily spend a day on there.

You totally reminded me of this sesame street song 'daddy dear' that I always loved because it was so melodicallypsychotic.

I'd think there'd be plenty of pop-ups if ten bears got in a bed. Sing me a song Mikey... lol

Great... my childhood is nothing more than kitch on YouTube. LOL

Did you see this one? Was looking for the New Zoo Review intro, and instead found some pretty... um... interesting antics with the cast. LOL

That is twisted - and awesome! And it's so funny that you went looking for The New Zoo Review - that was the second show I looked for after Zoom but I couldn't find the intro for it.
