Went to Rachel's celebration last night; Haven't been to the Mile Square in ages. Saw zeroshapiro, which was nice, and her Buddhist boyfriend, who talked to Holly at length about Buddhism. Fascinating stuff. Picked up some good info, for if "Ore" gets accepted and I get the playwrighting commission.

Forgot to mention last night at the Duplex some guy named Harris sang "Bui-Doi" from Miss Saigon. He had a great voice for it, but he deliberately and hilariously cheesed it up with evocative hand gestures. It was one of the funniest things ever. Especially all the homoeux in the audience knowing every word and when to come in with the chorus ( Read more... )

Last night's Apathy was really good, though a little slow-paced. The good was due, in no small part, to having Tesse, Rachel, Seth, Aaron (Rachel's Brother), Glory, and Goat in the audience. It was a good crowd.

Thanks to Tesse's media savvy and munificence, we got in to see "Parade" at NYU last night. It was really fantastic. Though Carlos lent me the CDs a while ago, I'd only ever listened to the first act, thinking that one day I might see it, and I wanted to be surprised.
