David Rappaport, who played Father when we were in Ragtime at Debaun, is in a new cabaret show, called Crossroads: A Musical Journey. It is sadly not a musical version of the Britney Spears film.

Screw all this writing quality original show crap -- I think the musicalization of Crossroads is your destiny. :-) (Or perhaps Mariah Carey's Glitter?) Depending on your audience, you could throw a drag queen as Britney - kitsch plus drag seems to equal box office these days...

Hmmm, not the worst idea, but that might actually entail watching these movies, which I have no intention of doing.

Should I guess it is about the creation of blues music? Kid of like the other movie of that title...you know, the good one? Even if it had Ralph Macchio in a non-karate kid role?
